Fake Cars are the ultimate in phony goods!

The Chinese have gotten great at counterfeiting merchandise including designer shifts and yes, even automobiles for some time now! Fake cars are often spotted in China, fake cars including BWMs, fake Hondas, and more! Instead of paying for luxury; some choose to fake it!

The cars look and feel just like the actual car made by many well known car companies, but the labeling is changed. Case in point, a Rolls Royce Phantom is often spotted in China as a Hongqi HQD. Ask many passersby and they can't spot the difference! Yet, the Phantom from Rolls Royce has a sticker price of $450,000! The HQD? $300,000. Not incredible cheap, but it's a fake car that touches on the luxurious of the real Rolls Royce, giving buyers what they want at fraction of the price.

BUT it was in Italy, that the police recently broke up a ring selling fake Ferrari cars! It's not uncommon to spot things like a fake drivers licenses that sell for $200, fake diplomas that can sell for $200 or more, or fake Gucci sunglasses for around the same, but fake cars top the list! Imagine, spotting a fake car on the streets? Think you could tell the difference. You know what an emblem looks like, with the emblem there.. how many people could honestly spot a fake car?

The counterfeiters used a mix of actual Ferrari car parts and fake car parts, the achieve the authentic-like look of a real Ferrari! The fake cars had sells that were placed overtop of less luxurious cars.  Case in point, one fake Ferrari sold to unsuspecting buyer was actually a Pontiac! Many of the buyers had purchased the fake cars and had them stored in the garages. They were also told that the Ferraris were fake cars; and they knew it --- they simply wanted the feeling of having a real Ferrari. They were given among many documents, fake car titles!

The fake cars sold for over 20,000 Euros, just a percentage of what a real Ferrari would cost, but as the buyer felt they got a great deal on the Italian sports car of their dreams, the thieves made out like bandits! Fake car operations are shut down pretty often; and people who simply can't afford the real deal, are asked to simple --- KEEP DREAMING!
